Ring stand chemistry

A ring stand – often referred to as a retort stand or clamp stand – is an essential piece of equipment in any chemistry laboratory. It’s a robust, adjustable support system designed to securely hold glassware and other apparatus during experiments. Characteristically, a ring stand comprises a heavy, stable base and a vertical metal rod. To this rod, various clamps and rings are attached, allowing for precise positioning and orientation of glassware at different heights and angles. This flexibility is crucial for conducting reactions, distillations, and other procedures requiring a stable and adjustable support.
