Condensation reaction

What is a condensation reaction?
When two molecules come together, they can form a new compound through a process called condensation. This reaction involves the loss of a small molecule, often water, as the molecules combine to create a larger entity. In contrast, when a large molecule is broken down into smaller ones, it’s known as hydrolysis. In this case, water is introduced into the reaction, allowing the molecule to be split and reorganized into its constituent parts.
