Aliphatic

Aliphatic compounds are organic molecules that feature carbon atoms connected in linear or branched chains, or ring structures. Unlike aromatic compounds, which form benzene-like rings, aliphatics do not exhibit these characteristics. Typically composed of carbon and hydrogen, aliphatic compounds can be either saturated (with only single bonds) or unsaturated (containing double or triple bonds).
