Amine salts

Amine salts are formed through a reaction between an amine, a nitrogen-containing organic compound, and an acid. In this process, the nitrogen atom in the amine absorbs a proton (H+), leading to the formation of a positively charged ammonium ion and a negatively charged counterion derived from the acid. As a result, amine salts exhibit water-soluble properties and often form crystalline structures.
