Boronic acids derivatives

A boronic acid derivatives are organic compounds related to boric acid in which one of the three hydroxyl groups is replaced by an alkyl or aryl group. They can be prepared by reaction of appropriate organometallic compounds (Grignards) with borate esters followed by hydrolysis or by Miyaura borylation. Boronic acids derivatives are used extensively in organic chemistry as chemical building blocks and intermediates predominantly in the Suzuki coupling.
