Catalysts

Catalysts are a substances that accelerates chemical reactions by lowering the activation energy required for them to proceed. Unlike products of a reaction, which are consumed in the process, catalysts remain unchanged after facilitating a transformation, allowing reactions to occur under different conditions such as lower temperatures.
